About us
LilyxCelia is a duo formed by harpist and composer Lily Azur and the vocalist, saxophonist, and composer Celia Serrano. Through intimate improvisations and compositions, they create introspective atmospheres that merge innovation, minimalism, fusion, and exploration. Their music is an original blend of the harp - sometimes using electronics - with the sounds of the saxophone and vocals. With this unique setup, they challenge themselves to oscillate between soft and intimate sounds and the most wild, dirty, and electric soundscapes. It is a game of discovering different sounds to express and embrace the orderly as well as the chaotic, making them coexist.
LilyxCelia is an amalgamation of emotions and colors, crafting the perfect space for the audience to journey into themselves and explore their deepest thoughts. Their performances are unique and different every time, as they believe every context deserves its own approach. Their shows are human and organic, where improvisation holds an important role, together with spontaneity, authenticity, and fragility. They don’t aim to answer questions with their music, but rather to evoke and inspire the audience to ask the questions to their inner selves.
Lily and Celia studied together in the Master of Music in New Audiences and Innovative Practice, where they met and began crafting their special collaboration. They found in each other the ideal safe space to experiment with music, discovering a profound musical connection that led them to pursue their duet professionally.

Lily Azur
With harp as her main door into music, Lily Azur explores the in between. In between styles — from experimental and free improv, passing by jazz, folk, or classical music textures, with regular stops in electronics realms — in between musical approaches, letting collaborations as well as solo improvisation guide her sound explorations. Minimalist and delicate introvert yet claiming the dissonances and frictions that her instrument offers her, she intuitively weaves the threads of her different worlds, exploring the tapestry of connections between people, ideas, between herself and the otherness, between the artist and the audience, different makers, mediums, places and contexts. She is particularly interested in collaborative work (LilyxCelia, Still I Rise Collective, Tututu Orchestra, and more) which in turn informs her solo performances. Lily has performed in various venues and festivals in The Netherlands, such as Tivoli Vredenburg, Grachten Festival, Sounds of Music Festival, Musikfest Bremen, De Oosterpoort, among others.

Ready for the Unknown
Transition, change, uncertainty, the newness of the unknown. We are evolving, constantly transforming, and although change is often for the better, it scares us. Sometimes life might feel chaotic, but what if we try to welcome the metamorphosis embracing the unknown?
